I wonder if déjà vu is a spiritual experience, like a kind of stretching, up and out of our limited mortal consciousness, allowing a momentary super awareness.
Several times I've had an experience that caused me to think déjà vu might be moments when we recognize we are exactly in the right place at the right time, like checkpoints along our eternal path. These could be tiny pieces of evidence that we are fulfilling foreordained responsibilities or premortal promises.
