The following is a recording of a talk given in a sacrament meeting in the East Mill Creek Ward, near Salt Lake City, Utah, in 1978.
It was given by my mother, Cleo "Roselle" (Mengarelli) Gorrell, three years after her conversion to the Gospel of Jesus Christ as delivered by missionaries of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Her baptism was in 1975.
I enjoy listening to her tell in her own words the experience of coming to know the Book of Mormon to be the word of God, and the softening of her heart as she pondered the truths taught by the missionaries.
